2024 Robert D. Heilman Youth Achievement Award
Jillian Sutton
Jillian Sutton is the daughter of Jeff Sutton and Kate Hall of Westminster, MD. She has exhibited at the All-American Dairy Show for many years showing Holstein and Red & White cattle that she has developed with her family and the help of Pheasant Echos Farm where they reside.
Jillian has competed in the 4-H Invitational Dairy Judging contest, the Youth Showmanship competition and the Premier National Junior Show. In recent years, she has exhibited winning Red & White and Holstein animals in the PNJS.
In her application, a mentor of Jillian's praised her steadiness in stressful situations. She is so even keeled at a cow show that most people would never notice her, but her hard work and steadying presence makes working with her in a dream. Jillian is also dedicated to working with upcoming youth. She has volunteered her time to help coach her local Carroll County Dairy Judging teams ever since she competed in the National Dairy Judging contest herself. Recently, Carroll County has had a boom of participation with over 30 kids practicing weekly for dairy judging competition and Jillian is a big reason why so many young kids join in and continue in the judging program.
