All-American Dairy Foundation
2022 Arthur W. Nesbitt Award Winner
Jordan Anderson

Picture
Jordan Anderson of Centre Hall, PA is the daughter of Donald and Angela Anderson. She has exhibited Holsteins, Jerseys, Brown Swiss and Red & Whites at the All-American Dairy Show every year since 2015.

Jordan is enrolled at the University of Wyoming majoring in Agriculture Communications. When asked about her future career plans, Jordan spoke about the need to connect farmers to consumers and build better relationships in the hopes of helping buyers understand where their food comes from and how it is made.

In an essay about improving farm efficiency, Jordan focused on two main areas, young stock genetics and direct marketing. She focused on more logical breeding practices like breeding the highest genetic animals to sexed semen to provide enough replacement animals while growing the herds genetic base. This allows farmers to breed lower quality animals to beef genetics and receive added income at calving. Additionally, she continued to speak on farmer-consumer relations focusing on value added products sold directly to the public to increase profitability while also connecting to a base of consumers that would buy for a lifetime.
For her excellent achievements, Jordan receives a $1000 award to continue her education.
