Arthur W. Nesbitt is better known as Art, the Honorary Chairman of the All-American Dairy Foundation.
Art started his professional career as the Pennsylvania Holstein Association’s
Executive Secretary. He crisscrossed the state of Pennsylvania by car faster than Holstein meetings could be called. The membership more than tripled during Art’s seven years with
the association.
He departed Pennsylvania in 1959 to become the Sales Manager of Nasco in
Fort Atkinson, Wis. Art progressed through various positions there until he became chairman, president and CEO of Nasco International. The company features 65,000 items in 30 catalogs serving agriculture, education and industry. Nasco exports to 120 countries. During his tenure as Nasco International, Art also served as director and chairman of the board of The Gehl Company and director and president of the Dairy and Food Industry Suppliers Association. Art is currently a director and past president of Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, Wisconsin’s largest business organization.
Art was secretary/treasurer, then treasurer of the National Dairy Shrine and served
that organization for more than two decades. For 37 years, Art served as the announcer for World Dairy Expo. His familiar voice and his announcing expertise was, and still is, respected at World Dairy Expo. In addition, Art recently retired from his finance committee chairmanship
for the Collegiate Dairy Products Evaluation Contest.
Art has been recognized by Penn State as Alumni Fellow and Distinguished Alumnus; and
he is a past Penn State Trustee. He also established a Penn State endowment to recognize outstanding faculty in the animal science and food science departments.
Art and his wife Nancy reside in Fort Atkinson, Wis.
The All-American Dairy Show Board of Trustees elected Art as Honorary Board Chairman.
